For nearly 30 years, I have been creating art from found and salvaged material. Abstract three dimensional compositions are my “paintings”, but I also make masks, human figures, birds, and industrial lighting. Much of what I do is inspired by the material that comes my way – trying to find a creative way to work those things into Art.
For 25 of those years I’ve exhibited my work at Galerie Hertz here in Louisville, as well as galleries in Florida, Pittsburgh, and Columbus, Ohio. I also can be found at numerous art fairs and festivals in Louisville and the Mid-West.
And finally, for 20 years my wife Laura and I and our 2 kids have been living in a log cabin and working in a big barn (in rural eastern Jefferson County) that was built by artists Russ Vogt and Leslie Hawk. We share the studio with several other artists.
