Photography has fascinated me ever since my mother handed me some photos she took with her Kodak Brownie Camera more than half a century ago. At age 21, I embarked upon my professional photography career. For the most part, I am self-taught: however, I honed my skills back then by shadowing an older mentor for more than two years. In 1988 I established Ken Yoder Photography, a commercial Photography studio in Elkhart Indiana. Over the years, I have experimented with all types of state of the art cameras as a commissioned photographer and freelancer.
Digital photography has certainly changed the game by offering even more opportunities for creativity and precision. I rarely go anywhere without a camera at the ready which has afforded me some incredible shots! I have enjoyed the opportunities to photograph faraway places: an exotic African safari from a hot-air balloon, the beauty of the Rhine River, the intrigue of the Sea of Cortez, the culture of Central America, and the colorful Caribbean underwater world. I delight in photographing everything from personal portraits, to birds in flight, and seascapes. Who knows where one might find the next amazing shot? I am proud to present a technique I call: Enhanced Multi-Layer Imagery.
